
Blake McCroskey
Attorney Blake L. McCroskey is a native of Dayton, Ohio, and a proud graduate of Chaminade-Julienne High School. Blake started his collegiate career at the University of Cincinnati as a scholarship athlete (Football). After a career-ending injury, Blake decided to transfer to Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where he completed his bachelor’s degree. He graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2011.
Blake completed a four-month internship for NCR Corporation in London, England, after graduating from college. While interning at NCR, he served as part of the development team that created a new software application designed to serve as NCR Europe’s central management system, conducted a research project on employment regulations in various European countries that was presented to the Chief Executive Officer.
Blake attended the University of Miami School of Law in Miami, Florida, in 2017. While in law school, Blake was the recipient of the Dean’s Merit Scholarship and was elected as a Student Bar Association Senator during his 1L year. During his 1L year, Blake also served as the Co-Chair of the Black Law Students Association’s Community Service Committee. In addition, he was inducted as a member of UM Law’s Society of Bar and Gavel during his 2L year. The Society of Bar and Gavel is an organization dedicated to character, service, leadership, and a positive attitude. This is considered one of the highest honors bestowed upon UM Law students. During his time in law school, Blake also completed an internship at the State Attorney’s Office for Miami-Dade County and served as a Certified Legal Intern at the Public Defender’s Office for Miami-Dade County.
Blake graduated from the University of Miami School of Law in May of 2020. Upon graduation, Blake returned to Dayton, Ohio. Blake began working for the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office in Dayton in October of 2020 and became an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in December of 2020. As an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, Blake represented Montgomery County Children Services in numerous cases of abused, neglected, and dependent children. He served as the lead attorney on those cases. In December of 2021, Blake decided to go into private practice and join McCroskey Law and Advisory Services Group.
Blake’s focus is Estate Planning and Elder Law.
In Blake’s spare time, he enjoys reading, playing, watching sports, and traveling. He also likes to spend time with family and his two-year-old goldendoodle, Penny.
